Official URL: http://www.euskomedia.org/analitica/6864 AbstractJesus of Galíndez - from the Ayala valley, in the north of the province of Alava - establishes a comparison between the Jurisdiction of Ayala (1373, modified in 1469) and the biskaian texts ("Cuadeno Penal" dated 1342; "Fuero Viejo" [Old Jurisdiction] dated 1452; "Cuaderno de Ordenanzas de Hermandad Bizcaína" [Notebook of Ordinances of the Biskaian Brotherhood] 1394). Their similarities are not based on the literality of their articles of law, but reveal the same customary law, and identical origin and a common essence.
