The notary of Saint-Etienne-de -Baigorry, Jean Etcheverry-Ainchar, describes the legal situation of the Baigorry Valley between the 18th and 20th centuries. He describes the countless border conflicts that the French-Spanish treaties of 1785 and 1856 did not manage to eradicate.
