Abstract

The pretension of this work is to iniciate a comparative study that permits the investigation of folkloric aspects of three peoples of very different personality. For this purpose the author has resorted to riddles. Material of singular value. According to Mr. Machado y Alvarez riddles turn out to be "genuine fossils of primitive civilizations". On the other hand, we believe that this is the first time in our country that a folkloric study goes in this direction.
