La política presupuestaria de la Diputación de Vizcaya, 1876-1936

Abstract

The aim of this research paper is to analize the budget and the politics of income and expenditure of the "Diputación Vizcaína" at the time of the Concierto Económico. Afterwards, we go into the analysis of the resources the "Diputación de Vizcaya" had to maintain a high rate of expenditure. These were: the income from taxes, "arbitrios" and other means of taxation and, what is more of note, the benefits from the "Ferrocarril Minero de Triano", a property of the "Diputación". As the needs were increasing, they had to turn to new taxes
