Abstract

This article describes a trajectory that starts in 1934, when the first factory was started, and which continues throughout a few years in which the manufacturing of this material has reached unsuspected levels for the pioneers of that era. This is a history that is intrinsically connected to a factory in Alava, to its promoters and workers. The author was part of the workforce that, on a daily basis, converted 19th century glass into a complex and omnipresent product in the 20th century.
