Abstract

In order to face the problems of the presence of a mental deficiency in a baby, it is necessary to accept reality and believe in the baby's development capacities. The way to break the news to the parents and to offer them information and above all an affective and human acceptance will facilitate the acceptance of such an undesired reality.
