Reflexiones en torno al arte del s. XVI en Gipuzkoa

Abstract

Despite le already carried out studies, which have provided a very complete basis about the artistic situation during the 16th c. in Gipuzkoa, there are still many aspects which require deeper consideration. The commonplaces and mistakes that have remained in the local historiography demand a representative works and we willdeal with matters of customers, religious architecture and the constructive customs of the time, the development of sculpture and a brief reference to the pictorical market. The final artistic vision will derry the existence of an autentic Renaissance and it will include the adoption of mannieristic forms of vernacular nature from traditionalist social premises.
