Hechos e instituciones históricas en la ópera "Zigor"

Abstract

On the ocassion of the Cycle of Talks which took place on 10th December 1984, at the Palace of the Country Council of Guipuzcoa, when celebrating the International Year of Music, the lecturer took part with the report now being published. At the same Cycle, Mr. J.A. Arana Martija, who spoke about the History of Basque Opera, Mr. Manuel Lecuona and Mr. Francisco Escudero, who dealed with the libretto and music of the opera "Zigor", took part respectively. The present work, under the title "Hechos e Instituciones Históricas en la opera Zigor" (Facts and Historical Institutions in the opera Zigor), pretends, under a medieval navarrese approach, to incorporate all historical, geographical institutions, as well as to clarify the Anthroponymes showing up in the opera
