Abstract

Interest in bullfighting in the Basque Country may be probed in the "soka-muturra" which, in some instances was made at night, therefore illuminating the surroundings, which gave rise to the "zezensuzko" (or fire bull). Thereinafter the practice of fighting the bulls running loose in the bullring was initiated
