Official URL: http://www.euskomedia.org/analitica/3570 AbstractProfessor Olaizola poses, with that characteristic style of his days, the need for a new musical education, facing the invasion of mediocre music through the mass-media which is affecting youth and musical structures of the Basque Country most of all. He defends the "txistu" (typical basque flute), Choral Masses, Brass Bands and Orchestras, as the different levels of musical art, on which we should sork hard and without delay. He arques that the souce of musical education should be found at the "Ikastolas" (Basque schools), and the composer should find the main motif of inspiration within the roots of basque folk music
