Abstract

The aim of this work has been to confer an image of the teaching professionin the province of Gipuzkoa when General Franco was in power from 1936 to 1975.An overview is also given of the origins of Normal Schools and the problems that were encountered by students and teachers, as well as how this phenomenon affected the teaching profession.
