Speaking in terms of identity means going beyond the quantitative or descriptive project approaches anticipated by the authorities. It is a matter of imposing a vision that is at the same time more symbolic and more organisational: seeing the city as a multidimensional set of (internal and external) networks in dynamic interaction and studying with interest the production of mental and sensorial representations around the Eurocity symbol. These dynamics should be encouraged.
