The concrete case of Pamplona/Iruñea", includes a simple review and analysis of the existing legislation in terms ofcitizens' participation. In the opinion of the authoress, the idea is to invest in "social urban planning",in which technicians, managers and citizens, actively collaborate and participate in the design,planning and execution of urban plans. In the short term this seems difficult to attain but it seems that there are more and more initiatives in this direction and that headway is being made. It is considered to be an investment towards the sustainability of cities.
