Ingeniería genética en el sector primario y secundario: beneficios y problemas

Abstract

For Biotechnology Assessment a new definition of this technology is required. The Genetic Engineering can not be defined as a traditional science, but as a set of techniques which allows us to handle the basic molecules of the heredity and obtain new products relating to every economic sector: primary, secondary and tertiary. A new (disciplinary, control, productive) frame is provided. Finally, there is a comment about the public opinion about this technology in the European Community.
