It gives a general description of all the manuscripts and their contents. The Holdings consist of several hundred documents belonging to the genre of the sacred oratory: sermons, chants, panegyrics, etc. written basically in the dialects of Biscay and Guipuzcoa. The majority belong to the 18th and 19th centuries and some to the 20th. Over time the holdings have become established in the historic context of the history and literature in the Basque language.
