Abstract

In a document of 1787 there are references to the extension of the Basque language in Alava. The document is transcribed and it mentions that in a large part of the villages of Alava the Basque language was spoken, and that in the surroundings of Vitoria-Gasteiz the Basque language had not been lost yet
