Abstract

The unification of the spelling depends on a wider study on the phonetics of the Basque language. The unification of the dialects can be made in two ways: by joining the main four dialects or by choosing the most extended one. This second option can impoverish the grammar, it can reduce spontaneity from the writers and it could also be that it would not give all the literary advantage that a mixture of dialects would give
