But above all, he is concerned because it is a feeling of shame that confines the language to the homes. Those who speak in Basque do not wish to be considered a peasant and fear to be classified lower in the social scale and this is just what can kill a language. In Catalonia this does not happen this and Mújica tries to encourage people not to let that happen here either
