Abstract

Spanish cinema in the 1950s consolidates one of its most noteworthy characteristics: its realism. A reflection of what happens in Spanish society, the presence of religiousness in the productions of this decade contributes some exceptional material for the study of such matters as the concept of religious charisma and its translation to politics.
