Abstract

Starting from a known and observable fact, as is that the majority of workers in the eld of health care, informal care and health-related professions are women,; an analysis is made of the characteristics of informal care in the framework of family relationships, the progressive professionalisation of such tasks and the causes that might have in uenced such a continuous presence of women.
