Abstract

In this article we study certain phenomena that could be considered the result of Basque influence: the order of elements in the sentence and the substitution of the subjunctive by the conditional. We believe that such a statement is justified by historical linguistic reasons, related with the formation of the Spanish language, and also for a reasons of social and cultural contact in the Basque Country, and area in which both languages currently coexist.
