La festa gòtica dels Jocs Florals

Abstract

This paper is about the period of restoration of "Floral Games" in the Catalan language during the second half of last century, concentrating on the flourishing of Catalan as a literary language and during the process of language regulation over the first decades of this century. It is with this purpose that the author makes references to the "Floral Games" in Catalan and to the splendour of this language in the Middle Ages, as well as to its process of decadence between the 16th and 19th centuries.
