Abstract

After the 9/11 attacks in New York in 2001, Gandía Summer University decided to reflect on fear and control. Many writers were invited to reflect on literature and its environment. This conference was a presentation for the other conferences, the objective of which was to determine the functions of literature in the contemporary world.
