Abstract

Since approximately 1983, the musical offer in Bilbao has experimented an increase in both volume and quality. The merit for this is mainly attributable to the Bilbao Philharmonic Orchestra, to the Bilbao Philharmonic Society, to the Bilbao Opera Association and many others, together with the improvement of infrastructures. Even so, the future is bleak.
