Abstract

In pre-industrial society, a considerable part of life takes place in public spaces, which thus become a clear show of individual and collective vanities, meeting points and places for sociability. This article analyses public spaces in Bergara during the Modern Age and the norms emanated from the authorities to regulate the use of such spaces.
