However, over the last three years this pilgrims festivity has changed completely. This transformation is, in fact, the consequence of a strategy to confront the social fracture brought about by modernity. In this case, the festivity becomes a space for the construction of relations of solidarity between individuals and for the establishment of an identity referring to the corresponding locality (which in this case is Galdakao).
