Official URL: http://www.euskomedia.org/analitica/8069 AbstractThis article attempts to note and interrelate what is the real fitting under the expression "Vasconia" of the history of an assorted territorial area between the 7th and 13th centuries. Both because of its extension, and because it is the only territory that attained the superior political rank of kingdom, special attention is dedicated to Navarre. The bases that brought about the birth of the kingdom of Pamplona are analysed in order to be able to follow the sinuous path of the Navarran monarchy up to Teobald I. Although coincident in certain times, Alava, Gipuzkoa and Biskaia followed different political paths. Finally, the evolution of the French-Basque territories is also studied.
