Abstract

Over the last few years, the role of the Basque makers in the peninsular artistic context of the Modern Age is becoming increasingly known. Their influence is clear in the border regions with which close relations were being maintained. Burgos constituted privileged scenario for their work that reaches a considerable level in the field of architecture. Within this set, there are several of these masters whose success in Burgos allowed them to get contracts for other important works in Castille. This is exactly what happened with the Guipuzcoan master of the 17th century, Domingo de Ondátegui.
