Abstract

The English folklorist Violet Alford describes the dances and dramas of the continental Basque Country: pastorals and masquerades in Soule, cavalcades and "Tobera-mustrak" in the Lower Navarre, and Basque jumps in Lapurdi. She regrets the "downpour of Spanish Basque dances" that took place in the se provinces.
