Abstract

History of the Basque language in Argentina as from the two peak moments of the Basque emigration: in 1876, when the Laurak-Bat centre in Buenos Aires was founded after the abolition of the Jurisdictions; and in1937, as a result of the Spanish civil war, from which the Ekin editorial was founded in Buenos Aires in 1942. The text is complemented with the catalogue of books in Basque or on the Basque language published in Argentina between 1941 and 1953.
