Abstract

After a ten-month stay in 1952 in the Philippines, José María de Gamboa verifies that, after more than a century, the heroic era of Basque presence in the islands has definitely concluded. The Basques, that represent a negligible part of the population, have already become fully integrated in Philippine society.
