Abstract

The architect of Lima, Harth-Terré, fixes his attention on the participation of Basque foremen, architects, carpenters, stone-cutters, bricklayers, sculptors, painters and gold appliers in the construction of many churches in Peru, and more particularly in the construction of the cathedral of Lima. He also offers a list of their names, the places and dates in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries in which they worked.
