This he uses to build the base of a Basque national history. This is a history that will have to be checked and written in a Basque sense, interpreting the thought of the Basque people in each era. The frontier at the Pyrinees should not limit the national perspective, as writing this history with strange criteria would be equal to denaturalising it.
