Abstract

The present article studies the evolution undergone by fish names in Bizkaia during the 20th century. Given the abundant documentation from this century, we have taken into account two works: the Basque-Spanish-French Dictionary by Resurreción Mª de Azkue and the dialectological material we ourselves have collected. After presenting the data, certain conclusions are drawn.
