These laws were implemented to solve the lack of housing at the time. From 1911 on wards, many houses were built in Bilbao and its surrounding under the provisions of these laws. The Basque architecture inspired one of the styles used in the front of these houses. This style will eventually become the most significant representation of the .Caserio.. In a certain way, the .low-cost houses. built in Bizkaia wanted to represent a lifestyle of comfort, prosperity and consensus of its society at the moment.
