Historically, both fishing as, in a smaller measure, the traffic of maritime commodities, have constituted the main activities of the inhabitants in this enclave. But these activities have generated a wide range of auxiliary industries oriented, above all, towards providing the sailors and fishermen of the town with the tools and necessary supplies for an adequate development of their mission. The present work summarily analyses some of these instrumental industries.
