Between 1520 and 1599 22 miracle stories are put down to the Virgin of Begoña, half of which (54 %) are "cure-miracles", the 32 % "salbation miracles" and the 14 % "legimitacy miracles". A religious practice, which is considered nowadays as routine and unimportant, the "novenario", create the adecuate situation and atmosphere to the cure to happen. The "novenario" forced to stay and sleep at the temple one night, so the "incubatio" and the dreams would be the conection between the miracle worker character (the Virgin) and the unhealthy person.
