Abstract

Local administration is turning out to be the key institution in which it is possible to effect a democratic regeneration of the institutions. The policies of citizen's participation by means of the new technologies make an increased transparency possible and provide the town council with more democratic legitimacy. Also, they can be an efficient political instrument to fight against social exclusion in urban spaces.
