Abstract

Seven unpublished letters illustrate how Durrio sent his collection of jewels to the Museum of Modern Art in Bilbao. This collection constitutes the bulk of the author.s goldwork that can be currently seen in the Museum of Fine Arts. The sculptor's offer to send his fabulous painting collection is also documented (emphasising Paul Gauguin's work).
