Abstract

In this article the author analyses the influence that specialised journalists have in Spain on scientific dissemination through the press. The intervention they have in the flow of communications through which science runs compels us to reflect on their professional situation, characterised by what amounts to a paradox: their high degree of training (journalistic, scientific and in languages) brings about a scarce recognition from their professional colleagues, from the scientific community and from society as a whole.
