Abstract

The author introduces various documents that indicate that Basque was spoken in Pamplona and Estella. He also introduces a document in which he requests certain villages, that had been considered Basques up to then, be declared Castilian, and he gives the names of these villages. With the data provided by these documents (1778), Bonaparte's map (1863) and some other data he draws up a linguistic map of Navarre
