In spite of the fact that many of these images have disappeared, I would like to mention 3 atarpieces and 34 images dedicated to him. With reference to their chronology, we have to underline the long period of time which they cover, from the end of the Middle Ages until the 20th century. In this work we endeavour to approach the religious spirit and atmosphere of the sea era during which they were produced and also mention the changes suffered by this said icongraphy, thereby signalling the vicissitudes which its cult has suffered over the course of time
