Abstract

This essay endeavours to reflect on the part that the Basque people is to provide of its own to the cinema. It attempts to research among the signs of identity that define the Basque people, insisting on those that are related to the way of conceiving rhythmic beating, the aeshetic and ethical "tempo" of the Basque people. Lately it is the task of filmmakers and theorists to apply such principles to cinematographic narrative
