Abstract

The hamlet of Donostia-San Sebastián with the place-name "Alkolea" was previously called "Pilartegi". "Alcolea" is the name of several villages and places of Spain, among them there was one in Madrid called "Alcolea de Torote" that it is where the name of the Basque hamlet came from. The name of the village of "Alcolea" placed between Motriko and Deba, however, has a different origin
