The method of analysis is based on the implementation of familiar correlations using maximum lakelyhood estimates (Rao et al., 1987). The coefficients of genetic determination obtained ranged from62.3% to 53.2% according to each different variable. There is no evidence of sex-linkage in any of the biological features considered, although some of them seem to share a greater degree of autosomic genetic determination both in males (adiposity indexes) and females(endomorphy). Somatotypes show a moderate degree of heritability, similar to other Caucasoid populations. Moreover, as a consequence of the common way of life, siblings tend to resemble more to each other than in relation to their parents
