Abstract

Libraries have played an important role in the first steps of the society of information by offering electronic access to their document resources. The author introduces a prospective vision on the evolution of the traditional library towards new services based on intangible supports. So that this evolution can take place, an evolution of the social aspects that surround libraries must also take place
