This new stage is characterised by the abundance of specialised channels in cinema, news, sports or children's channels, which will mean the disappearance of the concept of proogramming, which is to be substituted by that of editing, in which the television viewer is to be the person who will "elaborate" what he wishes to view. Unfortunately this era of audiovisual abundance is very probably combined with a general decrease of content quality.
