Abstract

Biography and work of Leoncio de Urabayen. He collected his scientific-humanist theories in "El Dique" (The Dike) , a novel that is located in 2014. In his first period, he was quite polyfacetical: he was a geographer, a narrator, a poet, etc. with the aid of Eusko Ikaskuntza - Basque Studies Society, he wrote "Human Geography of Navarre", in which he describes the relationship between the Society and the R.I.E.V, in which he publiched seven articles. The author also introduces his ideas on increasing the cultural level of the Basques
