Abstract

This paper focuses on the festival behaviour and social events carried out in a small village of a Basque province called Zuberoa during the summer of 1991. On the one hand, the author shows the grounds upon which a festive atmosphere took place. On the other hand, he points out how a model of community was displayed - a model which was in process of change and discussion.
