Abstract

The author reports on the state of painting in Navarre around the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th centuries. He also reports on the state of tapestry as both tapestry and painting were very related during the reign of Charles the Noble. When Charles the Noble acceded to the throne (1387), he decided to improve his castle at Tudela and summoned the artists. The author narrates the works and the artists that took part
